Mount Zion is a place where God dwells in. Just as Isaiah 8:18 says that,
“Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion”.
In the same light, as Children of God, our home also is Mount Zion. To make it more awesome, as Children of God, we do not just dwell in Mount Zion, we become as Mount Zion where God dwells in just as Psalm 125:1 clearly puts it that,
“They that trust in the LORD [shall be] as mount Zion, [which] cannot be removed, [but] abideth for ever”.
With the descriptions of Mount Zion as a place and a Child of God, how does restoration come in? Restoration comes in because there is deliverance upon Mount Zion. Your home where you dwell is to be a house of prayer where no devil can think of staying for a minute. Also, your body as a Mount Zion has the indwelling of God that is greater than everything you can think or imagine. With this, all that the devil has stolen from you is restored.
Obadiah 1:17 says,
“But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions”.
As Mount Zion, holiness should be a lifestyle. All that concerns you should be an enemy to sin because you dwell in and are also a carrier of God (1 John 2:15). To sustain your deliverance, giving no room to the devil in your home and life, holiness is essential. This is essential because of the sayings of Jesus on the need for holiness in Matthew 12:43 – 45 that,
“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth [it] empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last [state] of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation”.
To experience complete restoration after deliverance, there is a need to walk in holiness and feeding on the Word of God.
What is being restored? The first thing that is restored to you is your sonship which makes you access everything in God including fire. As children of God, we have been made fire. You can read the article on “Ministers: A Flame of Fire” to understand more on the fire of God in you. Furthermore, every possession of yours that has been held by a strong man will be gotten back because you are stronger now with God in you and your home. Mark 3:27 says,
“No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house”.
The restoration experience upon Mount Zion is one that remains forever. This is because the enemy will not remain.
Focusing on the home, Obadiah 1:18 says,
“And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be [any] remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken [it]”.
The verse above describes Jacob as fire and his son, Joseph, to be a flame. In the same vein, when parents are burning for Christ, they should build up their Children in the ways of the Lord. Thus, the children have flames of fire in them which after a while will become fire itself.
The house of Esau signifies every appearance of darkness. The Bible calls it a stubble (a dry grass) because it has lost it strength making your home stronger. When a dry grass comes in contact with fire, it is set ablaze until none of it remains. That is how your home should be, restored as a Mount Zion where the Lord dwells.
