Making your ways Prosperous

Making your ways prosperous - Peculiar Ministers Christian Movement

It is the desire of every human to prosper in whatever they do and where ever they go. The prosperity height of persons varies, therefore, they can tell when they prosper. Prosperity is not alone defined by monetary values or possessions; it can also be in knowledge, understanding, wisdom, health, marriage, and above all in spiritual growth. It is God’s desire for us to prosper (3 John 2) and the tenets to prosper in all dimensions are stated in the Book of books, the Holy Bible. Making your ways prosperous in Joshua 1:8 states that,

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Prosperity coupled with good success is found in the word of God. The Holy Bible is a guide to us to fulfilling purpose. When you make your race God, you understand why you are created, thus, you live and not just exist. The word of God is “a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path” – Psalm 119:105.

To make your ways prosperous, you have to be a student of the Word of God. “Study to show thyself approved unto God…” – 2 Timothy 2:15. When you study God’s Word, it teaches you to follow peace with all men (Romans 14:19; Hebrews 12:14). Being prosperous monetarily yet having no peace in your home does not spell out full prosperity. Prosperity in Jesus is whole and complete and can be achieve by following Him closely through the Word. Deuteronomy 4:6 tells us what to do with God’s word:

“Keep therefore and do [them]; for this [is] your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation [is] a wise and understanding people.”

I love Psalm 1:1 because it shows that a person can regress from walking to standing then siting as a result of ungodly counsel, the ways of sinners, and seating with the scornful respectively. If you want to make your ways prosperous Psalm 1:2- 3 says,

“But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

Prosperity in the hands of a fool brings destruction (Proverbs 1:32). For you to prosper in all your endeavours, let your life be fashioned after Christ. Meditate on God’s Word day and night. Hide God’s Word in your heart and you will be guided and guarded by it. Deuteronomy 29:9 says,

“Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.”
