One resource that is equal to all men is time. Every man has twenty four hours to himself, nothing more nothing less. What matters is how you decide to use your time. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says,
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”.
How have you been spending your time? Do you know that if you watch movies for 2 hours every day, you will spend at about 30 days on that in a year? Being on the social media for 4 hours per day in a year is two months, except you make money legally online. When then will you plan for your purpose and pursue them. Remember that you will have to sleep as well.
Ephesians 5:15 – 17 says,
“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is”.
A man who will not be foolish with how he spends his time is one who knows the will of God for his life. He will know when to do things at it set time (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Habakkuk 2:3 mentioned that a vision received today may not be for today but for the future. Nevertheless, we are to run with the vision. In that space of catching the vision and casting spend time on profitable enterprises.
We are to seek wisdom from God with the management of our time. He is the greatest teacher who can teach us how to number our days (Psalm 90:12). Everyone without reproach gets wisdom from God when they ask (James 1:5). Allow God direct your steps (Proverbs 16:9).
Procrastination is a thief of time. Don’t give it a chance in your life. If it has already found a place in your life, send it packing by having a change in heart and with prayers. The bible recommends you to learn from the ants in Proverbs 6:6-8, because it knows how to prioritize. No one tells the ant what to do before it begins to make plans and execute them, understanding the times and seasons. Do you work only when others tell you to? Have a change of heart and be diligent with every work committed into your hands, even your life (Proverbs 21:5).
You should have this with you at all times for meditation as it will help you to always trust in God with your life. James 4:13 – 14 says,
“Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away”.
